Removal of Teeth

3D CT impacted wisdom toothTooth extraction is usually relatively straightforward, and most can be performed quickly while the individual is awake and consciense by using a local anesthetic.  Certain teeth can be more difficult to remove for several reasons:

  • the tooth's position
  • anatomy of the tooth
  • decay or integritry of tooth

Your general dentist may feel uncomfortable extracting a tooth based on it's position.  The tooth's roots  can sometimes be near the inferior alveolar nerve or could be located very near to the sinus cavity.  Dr. William Paul, an Oral Surgeon in South Bend, Indiana has the skill and experience to deal with these difficult extractions.
